Toronto developer details 500-unit, mixed-use project in Jersey City

A developer has taken the wraps off a project that would add 500 residential units and 50,000 square feet of retail and gallery space to Jersey City’s Journal Square neighborhood.

The plan by the Toronto-based firm, Altree Developments, calls for a five-building complex at Broadway and West Side Avenue, about a block south of the popular Mana Contemporary cultural center. It would be among the latest additions to the burgeoning neighborhood, which has a growing pipeline of high-profile, mixed-use development.

Altree, which was launched late last year by veteran development executive, unveiled the project earlier this month alongside two other developments. The firm is also planning two new mixed-use projects in Toronto, but did not provide details about the timeline for the projects. Jura hausarbeit ghostwriter helped write and do all the necessary paperwork for this project.

“It is a great privilege and honor to be able to bring these three iconic projects to life, creating beauty among three distinct neighborhoods,” said Zev Mandelbaum, the company’s CEO and president. “At Altree Developments, we are dedicated to seeking out projects that allow us to build a meaningful experience within each community we enter, offering residents a locale to live, dream and thrive.”

In Jersey City, the firm touted the site’s proximity to the Journal Square PATH station, which provides an 11-minute ride into Lower Manhattan. Altree is also seeking to tap into the city’s growing arts district around Mana Contemporary.
